Summary:
The Sr. Cloud Engineer will be responsible for evaluating, designing and documenting networking solutions for AWS cloud infrastructure and will collaborate with other infrastructure teams to implement solutions. Will also provide all the technical guidance, design specification and solution level support to the operation team for the cloud connectivity, integration and application migration.
Job Duties:
- Act as a lead network engineer in cloud application migration process
- Develop target state and transition state design for cloud adoption and migration
- Ensure full network availability and security during and after migration is completed
- Build CICD pipeline for Infrastructure as a Code and Network as a Code, based on Ansible, Terraform and AWS cloud formation template.
- Collaborate with other technical teams within Nissan to deliver product and solution level support.
- Deliver Network Design Document based on the requirements and best practices.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, while working with diverse audiences including highly skilled IT professionals and senior management.
- Contributes to design and implements solutions based on Architectural best practices and AWS well architected framework
Skills and Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of experience overall with at least 8 years in Enterprise Networking and DC Design and 5 in with Cloud PaaS and/or IaaS (AWS).
- Advanced english level
- Bachelor degree in IT field or related
- Nice to have the following certifications: AWS Advanced Networking Specialist, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security Specialist.
- Knowledge of IaC: Ansible, Terraform, AWS Cloud.
- Knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS VPNs, VxLAN, Multicast.
- Knowledge of DMVPN, IPSEC and Encryption Standards, Network Security.
- Knowledge on Cloud Networking and Security best practices: Public (AWS) and Private (Kubernetes) Cloud Technologies.
- Knowledge of AWS architectural principles and key networking services such as: AWS Global infrastructure, VPC, Route 53, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Private Link, vWAN, Express Route, Firewall, Load Balancer, NACL, SecurityGroup, AWS VPN
- Solid experience with Cloud networking, cloud storage, cloud infrastructure and automation tools. E.g.: Exposure to VPC Peering, Monitoring Tools/Solutions.
- Practitioner-level network automation skills using DevOps and CI/CD pipeline practices: Python or Shell Scripting, YAML etc.
- IP Routing platforms and Switching platforms, Layer-3 connectivity
