Your New Role :  

The Solutions Analyst – Affiliate Sales designs solutions and solves critical business problems for Domestic and International Affiliate Sales business units through technology implementation s . This role brings a deep understanding of business processes, new business requirements, and the ability to design best fit technology solutions. This Solutions Analyst documents business needs and translates them into actionable technical requirements to be effectively communicated to the offshore technology engineering team. The Solutions Analyst is co-located with the business to ensure technology solutions meet dynamic requirements and align with highest priority business objectives . The Solutions Analyst is on-the-ground, ensuring continual and seamless collaboration and effective information flow between the business and offshore technology team s.   Issue and problem management will also be a major function of the Solutions Analyst – Affiliate Sales role, liaising with the business customers and keeping them continually updated on issues status via clear written and verbal communication Part of this function will include being able to analyze and problem solve based on information gathered from multiple sources and work together with the development and QA teams to provide both short term and root cause solutions.

Your Role Accountabilities:  

Requirement Gathering and Analysis  

  • Serve as Technology Solutions Analyst for WBD’s Affiliate Sales monetization business units:  

  • Ensure all business needs are clearly defined and documented to prevent scope creep and misunderstanding during project execution.  

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including executives, end users, and product managers, to understand business objectives .  

  • Use various techniques such as interviews, surveys, document analysis, focus groups, and workshops to elicit requirements.  

  • Create and maintain requirement artifacts, such as business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.

Issue and Problem Management  

  • Monitor issue management system to ensure all reported production issues are addressed according to their priority and relative importance to release activi ties.  

  • Provide seco nd level support for production issues which includes problem identification, definition , and implementation of short-term work around and coordination of long-term software solution with development team.

Solution Design Support  

  • Drive alignment between the business vision and technical implementation to ensure the solution delivers value.  

  • Work closely with solution architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business needs.  

  • Provide detailed input during the design phase to bridge the gap between high-level business requirements and system functionality.  

  • Use tools like wireframes, mockups, or prototypes to validate solutions with stakeholders.  

  • Participate in technical reviews to ensure alignment with agreed-upon requirements.

Testing and Validation  

  • Validate solution quality, minimize post-deployment issues, and ensure the solution meets the intended business outcomes.  

  • Develop and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts in collaboration with QA teams.  

  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that the delivered solution meets business requirements.  

  • Document and track defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution.  

  • Assist in training users and supporting go-live activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems or features.  

Qualifications & Experiences:    

  • 5+ years of experience  

  • Understanding of the Media & Entertainment industry and/or the network affiliates business.  

  • Ability to understand and anticipate stakeholder needs.  

  • Ability to elicit, document, and analyze requirements effectively.  

  • Ensure requirements are comprehensive and solutions are aligned with business goals.  

  • Capability to identify and analyze complex problems, break them into smaller components, and develop practical solutions.  

  • Skill in evaluating existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting enhancements.  

  • Understanding of SDLC phases (e.g., waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies).  

  • Proficiency in creating clear and concise documents, including BRDs, functional specs, and user stories.  

  • Willingness to learn new technologies , methodologies, and business domains.  

  • Initiative to identify issues or opportunities without explicit instruction.
