Overview:
Chubb's Information Management group provides business insights, data management, and business and data analysis to North America. As a Business Insights Data Engineer, you'll play a key role within a group responsible for providing business insights, and automating cross-sell functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, develop, and maintain data-centric applications focused on automated cross-selling.
- Lead Data development projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and other ETL-related problems
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Data engineering including SQL, RDBMS, ETL
- Clear understanding of data Lake and Data Warehousing
- Strong knowledge of SQL and advanced programming languages such as Python
- At least 5+ years of Strong understanding of ETL development concepts and tools such as ETL development solutions (Informatica/IICS, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and other ETL-related problems
- Experience with cloud-based environment required (Azure experience preferred)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management skills
