Senior Automation Software Engineer - Remoto en Fixity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Software Engineer with 5–7 years of active experience in automation engineering, including at least 3+ years of hands-on Cypress automation . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in modular design, object-oriented programming (OOP) , and design patterns , along with a proven track record for delivering high-quality, high-performance code.

This role requires strong communication skills , the ability to operate in a client-facing consulting environment , and a readiness to work across different domains and client environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Cypress , JavaScript, and frameworks like Chai/Mocha .

• Utilize primary tools such as Cypress, Eclipse, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, JIRA, QTest, AWS Cloud, AWS Toolkit, Airflow, Zephyr, Slack, and Kibana.

• Leverage secondary tools like Maven, Ant, UrbanCode Deploy, Splunk, AWS, Docker/OpenShift.

• Automate regression test cases and update manual test scripts in Zephyr.

• Define automation scope based on sprint stories, milestones, and test cases.

• Work with data teams to meet test data requirements.

• Create Front-End UI and REST API automation scripts for desktop web applications.

• Configure and maintain continuous integration (CI) jobs for automated test execution.

• Execute test scripts across multiple browsers and environments.

• Perform both automated and manual tests, identify root causes, and log application defects.

• Analyze automation execution reports, track progress, and provide sprint status updates.

• Mentor and coach junior engineers to enhance technical capabilities within the team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred).

• 5–7 years of professional automation engineering experience.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress automation.

• Strong knowledge of OOP , modular design, and design patterns.

• Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Proven ability to translate business requirements into software automation solutions.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and priorities.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Certifications in Java, AWS, or Cypress are a plus.
