Quality Engineer - Test Automation (Middle) - Híbrido en OMRON

Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies, Inc.’s (ORT) Mobile Robotics Software Team has an exciting opportunity involving Software Quality Assurance for an Engineer who enjoys working on the cutting edge and to work with our team in Guadalajara.

Here you’ll play a crucial role in the process of taking new products from idea to global launch – you’ll spend as much time collaborating with coworkers as you will deep in our codebase.  
 

Candidate will be responsible for:

• Test planning and execution regarding the software components of our fleet of AMRs (AMR operation, fleet management, licensing, and external integration with customer systems)
• Test automation using various systems including a custom Python based framework used with simulated fleets
• Writing and executing test cases for new features and resolved bugs
• Requirements  
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of professional software QA experience(highly qualified recent graduates with relevant experience and background will also be considered)
• Experience with test planning, creating and running manual and automating test cases, and experience tracking and reporting test results
• Proficiency in spoken/written English

Desired:

• Practical experience with Python
• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
• Knowledge of Linux operating system
• General knowledge of autonomous robots (particularly mobile robots), industrial automation, WMS, MES and ERP systems, or manufacturing in general
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git and BitBucket
• Understanding of Jira or other bug management systems
• Knowledge of TestRail a plus

The successful candidate will work with fellow engineers in our brand-new facility in Guadalajara, MX and collaborate closely with other teams Pleasanton, CA; Amherst, NH; and Barcelona, SP to help define the future direction OMRON’s Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) solutions in the ever-expanding field of Industrial Automation.
