WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Our positions in Monterrey are hybrid roles enabling our team to work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. Our office space in Monterrey was designed to promote collaboration for our scrum teams and increase our development velocity. In addition, you'll enjoy a great view of the city, fresh coffee, and the occasional happy hour.

POSITION SUMMARY :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Manual Engineer to join our team. As a QA Manual Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through manual testing. You will work closely with the development team to understand project requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and report any defects or issues found during testing. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test objectives and strategies.

• Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications and requirements.

• Conduct manual testing of software applications to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.

• Execute test cases, record test results, and document any defects or issues found during testing.

• Perform thorough regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved and no new issues have been introduced.

• Work closely with Developers to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues and provide detailed bug reports.

• Identify areas for test automation and collaborate with the automation team to develop automated test scripts.

• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

• Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving testing processes and methodologies.

• Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the QA test environment and test data management.

• Collaborate with the QA team to continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

5+ years of experience in:

• Agile and iterative software delivery methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven work experience as a QA Manual Engineer or in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.

• Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Experience with manual testing of web-based and mobile applications across different platforms and browsers.

• Solid knowledge of defect tracking systems and test management tools.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes and procedures.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• ISTQB or other relevant certifications would be a plus.

• Advanced English is required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS :

• 50,000 - 60,000 MXN

• Hybrid scheme (3 days a week working in the office, 2 days remotely)
