About the Role   

In this opportunity as a Project Manager, you will:

  • Provides recommendations to project implementation team.
  • Conducts business and requirements sessions and formulates requirements into design/solution documentation.
  • Works with clients to translate their policy into our solutions.
  • Engage with other key teams such as Product Management & Engineering within Thomson Reuters as appropriate to deliver end to end solutions.
  • Customizes and configures applications to agreed specifications.
  • Designs, develops, and documents project deliverables per project timelines and budgets agreed with customers.
  • Provides training of end users and customer development staff in the functionality of products.
  • Prepares and execute test scripts and test cases
  • Provides ongoing support for escalated problems
  • Provides go-live support (e.g. customer inquiries, requests for ad hoc reporting assistance, miscellaneous research, advice on analytic methods)
  • Completes tasks independently.

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computers science or related.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience on project management, professional services, software development, consulting experience or related experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Ability to clearly convey key ideas and concepts to customers and key internal stakeholders.
  • High-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others.
  • Demonstrated success in professional learning environment; quickly grasps new skills, principles, and concepts.
  • Strong cross team/group/organizational collaboration skills. 
  • Must have the ability to achieve objectives by successfully interacting and collaborating with: Staff level team members in ONESOURCE Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, and Sales. Staff level resources at ONESOURCE Partners (KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, Ryan, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills Focused on customer satisfaction. 
  • Understands the cause and effect between successful customers/projects and Thomson Reuters's success (references, follow on sales, license renewal, market reputation)

Preferred Experience on:

  • Technical and Functional Expertise (must meet at least 1 category requirement) Functionally proficient with 1 or more ONESOURCE products (OTP, OOXP, OIT, Indirect, etc.)
  • Background as a PM, Developer or Analyst in enterprise software products/services/applications (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, NS, WDAY, etc.) OR Tax/Accounting industry/domain knowledge (Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Global Trade Management, etc.)  
  • Indirect Tax only:  hands on technical experience with IT Platforms such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle DB/Weblogic, IBM DB/Websphere, Redhat, Tomcat  Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Travel Requirements: Depending on project assignments, the expectation is an average of between 25%-50% on an annual basis. There may be time periods where the travel requirement exceeds 50% in a given month.
