About the Role

As a Software Engineer II, you will perform research, design, and software development tasks in a specific functional area. You will learn new technologies and contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for designing, implementing, and testing software solutions. This ensures they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of moderately complex system components.
• Complete simple bug fixes and resolve technical issues.
• Work closely with other members of the development team to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Operate in various development environments (Kanban and Scrum) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to continually improve software development processes.
• Write clean and efficient code using software development best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 1 year of experience in object-oriented development languages such as .Net (C#)
• Or, high school diploma with 3 years of professional experience*
• Experience in front-end technologies like Angular or JavaScript is a plus
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (Kanban and Scrum).
• Advanced English – Essential
• Ability to partner with and lead internal and external technology resources to solve complex business needs.
• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
• Strong project organization/planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, along with strong delegation skills involving the prioritization and re-prioritization of projects and managing projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• Test-driven development.
• Ability to design and work with complex data models.
• Excellent understanding of data modeling principles, data manipulation languages, and storage systems.
• Familiar with industry best practices, such as code coverage.

• Salary between $30,000 and $45,000 MXN per month, gross (according to experience)
