Summary Position

This role is responsible to build, maintain and improve network infrastructure required to support the company’s daily and smooth operation, focusing on all times, in state-of-the-art infrastructure, security standards and system efficiency, creating best practices to support company’s systems users, keep the technology up to date with best practices, including patches, upgrades, and each one of the client’s requirements as needed.

 

The Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a complex system, be able to handle a workload of multiple projects and maintenance of the network topology. The ideal candidate will have heavy experience on Cisco networks, MPLS, and other network standards. The Network Engineer will be open to response to a dynamic environment and be flexible and able to accommodate accordingly.


RESPONSABILITIES

 

·          Constantly analyze current technology and security network infrastructure, including information security and physical security measures, to ensure our systems are up to date and meeting applicable regulations such as PCI-DSS standards, HIPAA, SOC-2, Privacy laws both from the U.S, and Mexico.

·          Develop & establish IT standards, best practices, procedures to ensure a high-degree systems availability and stability.

·          Problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion to respond to complex inquiries or escalations from other level support teams.

·          Ensure planning, design, and implementation processes to meet or exceed projects goals and business objectives.

·          Develop & implement network standards and best practices solutions to ensure a high degree of system availability and security.

·          Responsible to oversee, create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented network systems and update for each system change.

·          Responsible for overall network maintenance, design, redesign of operational network functionality and enhancements.

·          Responsible for managing outsourced network support vendors.

·          Responsible for configuration and compliance review of corporate firewalls, switches, and routers to meet company security and PCI standards/policies.

·          Responsible to oversee network monitoring and proactively response to prevent network related issues, at the same time predict future network expansion needs.

·          Responsible to plan, manage, and execute networks and servers’ technology migrations with minimal or no impact to company operations.

·          Resolve complex networking related issues & outages.

·          Responsible to manage and deliver multiple projects within expected due dates, ensuring to keep all parties involve informed of progress /obstacle

·          Evaluate, recommend, plan, and implement new technologies and procedures.

·          Lead in the planning and execution of networks and servers’ technology migrations.

·          Resolve complex Servers issues & outages

·          Ensure project deliverables match or exceed users’ expectations by proactively working with all teams involved in the project, communicating with managers and users of progress/obstacles.

·          Work independently with very little supervision while providing clearly documented activities

·          Performs other related duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience with BS in Computer Information Systems or related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in network designed, deployment, managing/maintaining and troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as: Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks, MPLS technology, routing, and other protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, SMTP, etc. security appliances, wireless technology, and other related technologies, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Cisco CCNP is desired, CCIE is preferred (equivalent working experiences is acceptable)
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion to respond to common and complex inquiries.

·          Conversational English is a must.

GOOD TO HAVE

·          Prior experience with Contact Center and/or BPO industries.

·          Worked or familiarized with infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, servers and Active Directory.
