MSBI Support Engineer - Senior (ETL) - Híbrido en Koch México

Your Job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented MSBI Support Engineer to join our team. This is a support-focused role responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting BI solutions developed using the Microsoft BI stack—SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of BI processes, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Our Team

The team ensures the smooth operation of business intelligence systems by monitoring ETL jobs, resolving incidents, and maintaining data quality across SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS platforms.

What You Will Do

Provide L1/L2/L3 support for MSBI solutions (SSIS packages, SSRS reports, SSAS cubes).

Monitor scheduled ETL jobs, investigate failures, and ensure timely data loads.

Handle incident and service request tickets related to BI systems within defined SLAs.

Troubleshoot data discrepancies, performance issues, and report failures.

Work closely with development and business teams to understand recurring issues and suggest improvements.

Ensure data quality and integrity across source systems and BI layers.

Document issues, resolutions, and maintain a knowledge base for common problems.

Participate in weekend/off-hours support rotations (as needed).

Maintain and update technical documentation related to support activities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

3–5 years of experience in MSBI support (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)

Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and troubleshooting

Experience supporting data warehouse environments

Good understanding of job scheduling tools (e.g., SQL Agent)

Familiarity with incident/ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow)

Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills

Experience in automation of routine support tasks/scripts
