This opportunity is with a company in the mobile equipment sector specialized in designing, manufacturing, and supporting underground mining vehicles and equipment, with a strong focus on innovation, safety, and sustainability.

Job Description:

As a Help Desk Technician, you will play a key role in providing direct technical support on-site, addressing support requests through a ticketing system. You will be responsible for delivering support primarily for computers, printers, and other related devices, ensuring a swift and effective resolution of issues to maintain operational continuity.

You will work relatively independently and report to the IT team based in Canada, utilizing your experience with Microsoft tools and your English proficiency to offer technical solutions and excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely and effective technical assistance to end users via phone, email, or in person, in both Spanish and English. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Escalate complex problems to senior team members or other departments as necessary. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripheral devices. Support computers, printers, and other technological devices used on-site. Manage requests through a ticketing system, ensuring timely response and resolution. Configure and maintain user accounts and access permissions. Collaborate with the IT team to identify recurring issues and propose improvements. Maintain accurate records of requests, resolutions, and equipment. Stay updated on technology trends, software, and emerging tools. Participate in the preparation of technical documentation and training materials. Perform scheduled system maintenance and updates. Apply basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN, VoIP, and IT security.


Technical Knowledge:

  • Minimum five years in a similar technical support role.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft ecosystem: Windows, Office 365, Active Directory.

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

  • Experience managing tickets and ensuring effective follow-up.

  • Knowledge of remote desktop tools.

  • Desirable certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, or related certifications.
