Business Intelligence Senior Consultant- CDMX en Ecom

We are looking for professionals with the following profile:

Business Intelligence Senior Consultant

Schooling: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory), Spanish is a plus.

Experience in:

• 7+ years of experience implementing & migrating to Azure Synapse , optimizing transformations within Synapse, and familiarity with Medallion architecture.

• 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server Development tools and T-SQL (Transact Programming Language), delivering business intelligence solutions.

• 3+ years of experience with creating and maintaining PowerBI architectures & reports .

• Experience working with SaaS applications .

• 5+ years of experience working with Azure .

• Well-versed with Power Platform i.e., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Connectors, etc.

• Must have experience with implementing at least 3 end-to-end new implementations in Azure Synapse and PowerBI .

Must-have Knowledge:

• Azure Synapse

• Data Modelling

• Visualization in Power BI

• ETL from SQL and non-SQL databases to Azure Synapse

Good to have Knowledge:

• SSIS

• Qlik Sense

Objective of the position:

Work as part of the BI team which is in the process of migrating SQL Datawarehouse to Azure Synapse and reporting to Power BI.

Work as the main consultant for Azure Synapse and Power BI to define the landscape, ETL process, data modelling, and creating reporting structures in PowerBI.

Main functions:

• Responsible for making strategic decisions to maintain and/or develop the solutions required by the business.

• Responsible for architecting easy-to-operate self-service reporting for business users.

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to other team members.

• Responsible for designing, maintaining, and developing the ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Load).

• Ensure that BI applications are scalable to accommodate future development roadmaps.

• Monitor Synapse processes and apply performance tuning/technical improvements whenever needed.

• Become well-versed with common problem inquiries and be able to provide immediate solutions.

• Plan new releases and rollouts to anticipate customer inquiries.

• Follow Software Development Methodology to deliver projects on time, within scope, and with good quality.

• Ability to work independently on daily tasks with minimal supervision.

• Report status and escalate issues promptly to management level.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Software Development Engineers, other IT staff, and business stakeholders in a compliant, regulated environment.

Skills:

• Certified in Azure Synapse

• Certified in Power BI

Other qualifications/experience:

• Strong project management, time management, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done.

• Experience working in a multinational and multicultural environment with different time zones and geographically separated teams is desirable.
