We’re looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to support a new engagement with our client, a digital-first insurance company focused on simplifying and modernizing the insurance experience. You’ll help design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and full-stack applications (primarily in Python) to power their tech-driven, customer-centric platform. Strong AWS DevOps skills and a solid foundation in data engineering are key for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS-based infrastructure, including EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, and CloudFormation/Terraform.

Develop and manage containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.

Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and analytics (using tools such as AWS Glue, Step Functions, or custom ETL processes).

Contribute to backend and full-stack development using Python and relevant frameworks

Integrate with frontend interfaces (React/JavaScript experience is a plus but not required).

Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure infrastructure-as-code best practices.

Work collaboratively with data analysts, and product teams to deploy and monitor data applications.

Troubleshoot production issues, improve performance, and ensure system reliability and security.
Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years of experience in cloud-native DevOps, preferably in an AWS environment.

Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and serverless compute (Lambda).

Strong Python programming skills; experience building APIs, backend services, or data applications.

Experience designing and operating data pipelines and working with structured/unstructured datasets.

Familiarity with DevOps tooling: GitLab CI/CD, CloudWatch, IAM, Terraform/CloudFormation.

Experience with monitoring, logging, and cost optimization in cloud environments.

Previous experience in healthcare, biotech, or regulated data environments is a plus.
Nice to Have

Experience with frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue.js).

Background in data science or analytics workflows.

Knowledge of HIPAA or other compliance frameworks.
