General Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of our API ecosystem . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting and building robust, scalable, and secure APIs. We work with Elixir (with Phoenix and Ecto) but we value general skills and a willingness to learn more than specific knowledge.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience in API design and development .
• Experience in programming languages such as Elixir, Ruby, Java, Python, or Node.js .
• Expert understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with API security protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
• Familiarity with API management platforms and tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .
• Strong communication and collaboration skills .

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and specifications.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure APIs.
• Implement secure APIs, including authentication and authorization.
• Optimize API performance and reliability through monitoring, testing, and tuning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering , or related fields.
• Experience working in a startup environment .
• Experience with JSON:API and/or GraphQL .
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
