AI Research/Data Scientist - Remote in Mexico en IncFile

We are Bizee (Formerly IncFile), and we are seeking a Research/Data Scientist to play a key role in the data backbone of our AI initiatives . This position focuses on the collection, engineering, and preparation of datasets that fuel our AI projects. You will collaborate closely with AI Engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders to ensure that our models are powered by high-quality, well-structured, and ethically sourced data .

• Partner with AI Engineers and researchers to understand model requirements and prepare fit-for-purpose training, validation, and test datasets .
  

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and quality issues.
  

• Build processes for dataset documentation, reproducibility, and governance .

• Assist AI Engineers in data research, collection and manipulation in order to optimize AI models and projects

• Research and apply data augmentation techniques to improve model performance.

• Stay up to date on emerging tools and methods in data engineering, AI research, and MLOps.

• Conduct research and stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies to identify potential applications.

• 3+ years of experience in data science, research, or data engineering roles.
  

• Advanced english (mandatory) - both written and spoken

• Proficiency in Python and common data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark).
  

• Experience with data collection from APIs, web scraping, and third-party datasets .
  

• Strong skills in SQL and familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
  

• Experience with ETL tools .
  

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data storage solutions (S3, BigQuery, etc.).
  

• Understanding of AI and machine learning data requirements for model training and evaluation.
  

• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  

• Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) for LLM workflows.
  

• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) concepts and libraries.
  

• Knowledge of data labeling workflows and annotation tools.
  

• Prior work with large-scale unstructured data (text, images, audio).
  

• Contributions to open-source data projects or research publications.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.

• PhD in a relevant field is a plus.
