Software Development Engineer – Product Engineering
Are you passionate about the chance to bring your technical experience to drive our Engineering team using industry best practices in a world - class company? We are hiring 1 00 + Software Engineers with various experience levels for our Operations Cent er in Mexico City. We are expanding our gl obal Operations Centers footprint by establishing a new Operations Center in Mexico City to serve the Americas (North America and LatAm) with roles representing product, technology, sales operations, inside sales, customer service and finance. This new Operations Center will build on the existing established Centers in Asia (India and The Philippines), Europe (Poland) and Americas (Costa Rica).
As a Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters , you will be responsible for continually looking to optimize systems and services for security, automation, performance and availability, while ensuring solutions developed, adhere and align to architectural standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that technology systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values. Y ou’ll be able to deliver innovative solutions that impact our customers business every day and partner with teammates globally to develop innovative solutions for the best products in the market. About the Role
In th ese opportunit ies as a Software Engineer (Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Software Development Manager ) you will:
- Develop and Deliver: Apply modern Engineering practices; you will be involved in the entire d evelopment, o perational support, m onitoring, a utomation, b uilding, t esting and d elivering high-quality solutions for the Engineering team
- Be a Team Player: Working in a collaborative team-oriented environment, you will share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross-functional and remote teams

About You
You’re a fit our Software Engineer ing roles (Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, & Software Development Manager ) if you have :
- A B achelors degree in C omputer S cience , Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Software Engineer 1 + years of working knowledge in software development lifecycle environment
- Senior Software Engineer 5 + years of working knowledge in software development lifecycle environment
- Lead Software Engineer 7+ years of working knowledge in software development lifecycle environment
- Software Development Manager 10+ years technology development related experience and strong knowledge of the software development life cycle .
- The ideal candidate hands-on experience with:
- .Net/C#, ASP.Net or Java
- AWS
- API development
- C ontainerization ( eg Docker, Kubernetes)
- UI Development: Angular, JQuery , JavaScript, XSLT, HTML5, XML, JSON
- The following skills are also desirable:
- Experience working with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with server-side JavaScript development with an understanding of modern JavaScript build procedures (tests, linting, transpilation , bundling, minification, deployment) and tools (Webpack, Babel, Eslint , Karma, Jasmine, Jenkins)
- We prefer candidates to have strong written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English

In addition to the above qualifications , the Software Development Manager will have the following experience:
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Experience in leading and managing projects in the software development
- Strong understanding of and commitment to lean product and software development values and principles
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization
- Strong bias for action, taking ownership and initiative and willing to take risks when appropriate
- Strong leadership presence and effective communicator. Must be able to present effectively to a wide range of audiences such as Technology leadership, business partners
- Active listening skills, open to learning and ideas from others; willingness to offer a point of view
- A strong advocate for innovation
- Strong inter-team communication , written and oral communication skill s in Spanish and English
