This role is in the Product Engineering Shared Capabilities organization where we build the foundational capabilities on which Thomson Reuters runs.  This team is responsible for Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM)

About the role:
In this position as a "Software Associate Architect" you will:
 
You’ll be working primarily with: 

  • AWS and Azure public cloud 
  • Identity platforms (Auth0 and Ping) and identity standards (OAuth, UMA, OIDC and SAML) 
  • Java and/or .Netcore 

 
This role will be part of a new CIAM team in Mexico and responsibilities include: 

  • Create and oversee the architectural design & principles for CIAM 
  • Communicate and convey the CIAM architecture to outside architects 
  • When and where appropriate, be “hands-on” in terms of implementing POCs and solutions 
  • Provide technical leadership in CIAM across TR 
  • Mentor to other engineers inside and outside the team 
  • Extreme collaboration with all product teams; transparency is a must! 
  • Establish best practices; provide tooling that makes compliance frictionless 
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging cloud technology trends especially in identity (self-sovereign identity, FIDO etc.) 

 
About you:

You would be a great fit for the '"Software Associate Architect" role, f your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in related technology program preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8 years software engineering experience with 2 years of relevant cloud experience including most of the following: 
  • Building cloud native applications and services on Google, Azure or AWS 
  • Developing REST APIs using Java or .Net
  • Automation for CI/CD (CloudFormation, TerraForm, GitOps…) 
  • Thrives working collaboratively and transparently - a prerequisite for platform architects 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with a major Identity Provider (ForgeRock, Ping, Okta, Auth0 …) either for workforce or customer identity and access management 
  • REST API with an emphasis on security (bonus points for OAuth2, UMA, OIDC and/or SAML experience)
