Senior QA Engineer
Thomson Reuters is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Connected Platform team. The ideal candidate will have experience testing front-ends and micro-sites in an enterprise setting, with a passion for creating an exceptional Developer Experience. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with our development team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, and for identifying and reporting defects.

About the role:

In this opportunity as Senior QA Engineer , you will:

  • Collaborate with front-end developers to understand product requirements and develop test plans.
  • Develop and execute automated and manual tests for front-end applications and micro-sites.
  • Work with development teams to identify and resolve defects.
  • Use testing tools and techniques to ensure software quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and other development teams.
  • Work in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, standups, and other ceremonies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the testing process and methodologies.


About you:

You're a fit for the role of Senior QA Engineer if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software QA, with a focus on front-end and micro-sites testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • Experience with manual testing of front-end applications and micro-sites.
  • Knowledge of testing APIs and backend systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
