Sr. DevOps Engineer

A DevOps engineer will work in the cloud infrastructure area to support the operations of multiple products on AWS platform, using best practices and continuous improvement techniques. This role requires experience working in a large scale environment with many stakeholders. The candidate must be able to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and communicate clearly both verbally and written. They should also have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.  

About the role:

  • Implement the full stack software development lifecycle by utilizing Continuous Integration / Deployment methodologies for code delivered by development teams.  
  • Monitoring services for availability and performance.  
  • Perform system reliability engineering activities such as trend analysis and root cause analysis.  
  • Support product deployment into production environments.  
  • Ensure security best practices are followed throughout the entire software delivery life cycle.  
  • Provide technical expertise to support the operational team and troubleshoot complex application issues.  
  • Assist in designing solutions for new technologies and systems integration.  
  • Work closely with IT managers and executives to provide strategic direction and guidance for our technology initiatives.  
  • Lead efforts around improving automated testing coverage.  
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate processes related to building, deploying, monitoring and maintenance of applications.  


About You: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.  
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Delivery Life Cycle.  
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for web applications.  
  • Proficient in Java or Python.  
  • Knowledge in any scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, S3, EC2, VPC, Security Groups, Terraform, Ansible, Chef.  
  • Knowledge of Postgress.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like DataDog.
  • Experience using ServiceNow.
  • Basic knowledge of Agile Methodology.
