SAP BASIS Consultant 

Position Summary:  

The SAP BASIS Consultant is responsible for the administration, management, and optimization of SAP environments. This role ensures the stability, performance, and security of SAP systems and supports technical projects, upgrades, and migrations. 

Work You’ll Do:  

• Manage installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO, etc.). 

• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal SAP system health. 

• Administer user management, transport management, and system copies/refreshes. 

• Conduct SAP system upgrades, patches, and migrations 

• Ensure system security and compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations. 

• Design and implement SAP landscapes on leading cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including migration from on-premise to cloud. 

• Configure and optimize cloud infrastructure for SAP workloads, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. 

• Automate infrastructure management processes and enable self-service solutions for clients. 

• Implement and maintain security controls, backup/recovery strategies, and disaster recovery plans for SAP environments. 

• Collaborate with functional and technical teams for project delivery 

• Stay current with SAP and cloud platform advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies. 

• Recommend enhancements and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency. 

Required Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 

• Ability to travel 0-80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve 

• 7+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration 

• 2+ years of experience with SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, patch-management and performance tuning. 

• 2+ years of experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and related components 

• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX) 

• Familiarity with database administration (Oracle, HANA, SQL Server) 

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager 

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:  

• SAP BASIS certification 

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

• Knowledge of SAP security concepts and user administration 

• Experience in SAP migrations and upgrades
