Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

Portfolio Management:

  • Prioritization, strategic alignment, portfolio tracking/reporting according to the PMO KPIs; resource management allocation, risk management & process improvement

Talent Management:

  • Evaluation of permanent and temporary PMO Staff. - Mentoring Project Managers. - Ensure correct use and follow up of organizational tools and processes.

Governance and PMO Performance management:

  • Auditing of projects for compliance within PMO´s guidelines and KPIs.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the project budget (if applicable). Risk Management Prioritization of efforts and resolution of issues within area of responsibility, issue escalation and communication with the project sponsors and committee members.
  • Strategic projects: Manage strategic projects according to the PMO standards and ensure the correct implementation. 

 

 

Education and Specific Training :

  • Required Bachelor’s degree related to IT (Desired)
  • Master’s degree related to Project Management (Desired)

 

Special Certifications

  • Project Manager related (PMP, CAPM, other)
  • Scrum Master related

 

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience as a formal Project Manager (IT PM if possible)
  • Required 3 to 5 years of equivalent leadership experience
  • Experience with IT Solutions and IT departments
  • Leadership with multifunctional groups
  • Solid experience with waterfall, iterative, incremental, and adaptive (scrum) IT Projects

 

Requirements Required Skills:

  • MS Project, Kanban Board, and other collaborative task management tools (Jira, Monday, Trello, etc)
  • Possess extensive knowledge and expertise in project and portfolio management from global standards
  • Excellent communication skills with Clients, C-levels, Directors, Managers and Co-workers
  • Understanding of the responsibilities of all IT departments in a company (Networking, Security, Infrastructure, Helpdesk, Telecom, Service delivery, Systems, etc.)
  • (Desired) Data management in excel, creative eye for presentations and clear data visualization skills
  • Agile methodologies.
