Mid-Level Platform Software Engineer en Thomson Reuters

Are you interested in helping build a shared services/Platform team?
The Audit, Tax, and Accounting Professionals Platform team is looking for a Mid-Level Platform Software Engineer candidate to join our growing team. Our team is responsible for a wide variety of platform capabilities, including Auth, Data Platform, Client Portals, and others. You'll be joining a team working in Java and Angular (possibly including some C# and C++) , solving problems for numerous internal customers across our larger org. About the role:

• Design, develop and test high quality code in accordance with specifications.
• Delivers technical solutions for a single product and/or participates in complex projects
• Writes new software, makes modifications to existing software, or integrates software applications and modules in accordance with agreed-upon specifications.
• Ability to interpret code and solve problems based on existing good practices and standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, project managers and other developers.
• Assist in architectural design decisions.
• Participate in peer reviews of technical designs, code, documentation and tests.
• Creates and maintains all required technical documentation / manual related to assigned components to ensure supportability.
• Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively across functions and locations.

About You:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline 
• 3+ years of professional development experience or equivalent 
• Java, Hibernate, REST, SQL, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AngularJS, Angular 
• Integrations experience (REST APIs)  
• PostgreSQL  
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, ElasticSearch and standard microservice patterns are a plus   
• Familiarity with C#/C++ is a plus but not required
