Manager, Software Development Engineering

We invite you to become part of the Thomson Reuters Product Engineering team. We are looking for a skilled and passionate software Development manager to lead a global scrum team. Our team, located across Mexico, the US, Toronto, and India, focuses on supporting and delivering cutting-edge tax research products. As a manager, you will ensure that your team collaborates effectively with product owners and other technology teams to deliver our portfolio at scale within an agile framework.

About the Role

As the Manager, Software Development Engineering, you will:

  • Lead a global agile scrum team to ensure high-quality product releases.

  • Be accountable for technical delivery across multiple projects.

  • Manage and develop the talent within a technical team.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and drive resolution of issues.

  • Collaborate with technical leaders to set the team's technical direction.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to align on priorities and requirement acceptance.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

About You

You are an ideal candidate for this role if you have:

  • Over 5 years of experience in leading software development teams.

  • More than 8 years of experience in software development.

  • A proven track record of successful project delivery.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Experience in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfort in a demanding work environment and motivation to tackle complex challenges.
