Your New Role :
The Manager, Collaboration Tools will lead a team responsible for the development, deployment, and support of collaboration tools (MS Teams, Slack, Box, Google Workspace, Zoom, Figma, Miro, Rev, Otter.ai, and Co-pilot, Trint.) that improve communication and productivity across the organization. This role is vital in driving the adoption of collaborative technologies and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Your Role Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of collaboration tool specialists and support staff.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of collaboration tools.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the collaboration tools team.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of collaboration solutions.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
- Ensure solutions meet high standards of quality, functionality, and user experience.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes and methodologies.
- Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, including team members, budget, and tools, to ensure project success.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with the company's financial goals.
- Ability to build a framework and drive development through dynamic business intelligence tools and dashboards for use in ongoing business planning and goal measurement through KPIs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development and DevOps practices
- Minimum of 2 years in an architectural role focused on collaboration tools.
- Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, Slack, Box, Google Workspace, Zoom, Figma, Miro, Rev, Otter.ai, and Co-pilot. Basic understanding of Trint.
- Strong knowledge of file sharing platforms, chat applications, cloud-based workflow tools, and DevOps tools.
- Strong knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks and technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong proficiency in Azure, including Functions, .NET, Vault, and VS Code. Basic understanding of AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong proficiency in REST API calls and programming languages (Python, Bash, C#, PowerShell).
- Solid understanding of system architecture, microservices, and API design.
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
- Software Development SDK (VS Code).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with scripting languages and strong technical acumen in system architecture, cloud platforms, and automation.
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Certified in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience with other collaboration technologies such as Google Workspace and Atlassian
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Expertise in data integration, migration, and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)
- Some visualization tool knowledge would be helpful (i.e. Tableau, Power BI).
