Lead Cloud Software Engineer - ONESOURCE Global Trade

Thomson Reuters is on the lookout for a dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic Lead Cloud Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on the development and modernization of our ONESOURCE Global Trade application suite, a comprehensive trade automation solution that helps multinational corporations increase efficiency, reduce costs, manage risk, and comply with import/export regulations globally.

About the Role :

  • Possess extensive experience in cloud software development on platforms such as AWS or Azure.

  • Demonstrate a clear vision for product modernization through innovation and cutting-edge technology.

  • Thrive in environments with ambiguity, using it as a catalyst for generating superior ideas and outcomes.

As a Lead Cloud Software Engineer you will:

  • Develop and modernize software applications using industry best practices in coordination with a distributed team.

  • Possess an advanced understanding of software development methodologies and demonstrate the ability to design and develop complex software systems.

  • Contribute to design decisions and participate actively in design discussions.

  • Engage in all phases of an Agile software development cycle, including design, programming, testing, documentation, quality assurance, and implementation.

  • Lead code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and provide constructive feedback to developers.

  • Mentor team members, reinforcing best practices and promoting professional growth.

  • Utilize "innovation time" to explore pet projects and areas of special interest that can contribute to team objectives.

About you:

  • At least 10 years of experience in core software development for large enterprise-class applications.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams responsible for developing enterprise-class applications.

  • 3+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications with expertise in:

    • Full-stack development including C# / .Net Core, TypeScript, Angular, APIs (REST / GraphQL), Microservices, MVC.

    • Database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.

    • Cloud-native application development principles.

    • Containerization technologies like Docker, ECS/EKS, and Kubernetes.

    • Message Queuing Services such as Amazon SQS / MQ.
