The Opportunity
This role has a constant interaction with the tax business stakeholders from North America, being responsible for configuring and maintaining tax data in Vertex O application.
This professional would also be the key point of contact to run tests of system functionalities and performance, whenever new releases, upgrades or projects are being rolled out to Vertex O application.
Your Impact
As Tax Application Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:
Configuration & maintenance of:
- Taxpayers.
- Taxability drivers.
- Flex fields.
- Taxability mapping.
- Tax assist rules.
- Look up tables.
- Tax rules.
- RTE configuration updates.
- RFC queue sic log files error analysis.
- Vertex reporting.
- Customers.
- Customer exemption certificates.
- PQGC pro
Who Are We Looking For?
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with business tax configuration/maintenance
- Experience working with Vertex O, Mastersaf or similar applications.
Tech skills:
- A good working knowledge with tax applications, database (queries) and spreadsheets.
Non tech skills:
- Advance in English is a Must.
- Ability to quickly adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities.
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
- A proactive and highly organized individual.
Competencies required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher emphasizing Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or Finance.
- Experience working in a finance function or an IT organization supporting tax.
- Technical savvy and experience collaborating with cross-functional international teams.
