Georgia-Pacific’s Software Engineering & Integration team is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join the team in Guadalajara, MX. You will work with a global team of engineers delivering software solutions that support a variety of business functions for GP’s Packaging and Cellulose (P&C) businesses. The suite of applications maintained by the team support corporate and facility-specific capabilities, providing a variety of experiences and opportunities to obtain knowledge of our business and impact P&C’s performance. All engineers are encouraged to contribute to our repository of enterprise reusable assets.

GP’s Software Engineering & Integration global team’s core competency is designing, building, delivering, and maintaining custom software solutions. We recently initiated our transformation journey, creating functions and capabilities that enable engineers to have major impacts on GP’s business performance. Engineers are encouraged to re-use and scale peer’s work to meet new use cases. We focus on delivering profitable business outcomes by partnering with business analysts, delivery leaders, and quality engineers to build the right solution at the right speed.

What You Will Do

· Engage with customers, partners, and peers to build and deliver custom software solutions that support high-value business outcomes

· Support critical applications including consulting, debugging, break/fix execution, and participation in the on-call rotation

· Implement code changes, perform manual confirmation testing of software implementations, and participate in code reviews with peers to achieve quality releases

· Refine backlog with team members and provide estimates for future solutions

· Expand the team’s technical and domain knowledge bases

· Participate in an Agile work process to include standups, daily updates, sprint planning, retrospectives and PI planning

· Provide feedback and informal mentorship to less experienced development team members

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

· 5+ years back-end development using languages/frameworks such as C#, Python, VB.net, .Net Core

· 5+ years front-end development using Angular, React, ASP.Net, Kendo UI

· 5+ years experience SQL Server database development (design, tables, views, stored procedures)

· Demonstrated experience working in an agile delivery environment

· Demonstrated experience supporting critical applications

What Will Put You Ahead

· Experience with public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)

· Experience developing mobile applications

· Experience managing web applications running on Windows Server

· DevSecOps and/or Quality Assurance experience
