Thomson Reuters Employee Technology Services t eam is seeking a Pro ject Manager to be based in our Mexico City office to oversee the delivery of technology initiatives across our global real estate portfolio .    

The Project Manage r is responsible for managing projects to improve the Thomson Reuters e mployee e xperience by introducing new products and services to our e mployees and p artners. They champion the introduction of new and efficient ways of using technology services in our employees d igital and physical workplace  

 

The Project Manager will creat e and driv e the overall project plan, holding all project team members, partners , and associated teams accountable for all assigned work and action items, identifying risks and gaps in planning and ensuring remediation, communicating project updates and summaries upwards and laterally, engaging with business stakeholders as necessary , and collaborating with external partners to ensure all parties remain synchronized. The y will also work with the Delivery team on reporting, process and procedure management, analysis of project performance, and demand.    

 

About the Role    

In this opportunity as Project Manager , you will:   

  • Be a Technology Leader I nspire and drive cross-functional teams to convert technology vision into reality within project timelines and budgets . Team members may include Project teams, Service Management, local and regional Real Estate, Facilities Management, Architects, 3 rd Party Providers, Sourcing and Contracts teams, IT Security, HR, Finance and Business Stakeholders.   

  • Be a Problem Solver and Decision Maker U se sound judgment at the senior management level using assertiveness and influencing skills to demonstrate business benefits and to ensure the decision is fully understood and accepted . Make quick and effective data driven decisions, with good problem solving and analytical skills to infer quantitative and qualitative data .  

  • Be a Strategic and Critical Thinker Balance the big-picture view with connecting the dots, details and interdependencies to build and implement plans with a high potential for effectiveness and success. Avoid potential issues by identifying strategic and operational risk and implementing mitigation measures. Collaborate with strategy leaders to adopt consistent experiences that adhere to our global standards and security posture.   

  • Bring a human-centric perspective A rticulate how technology - enabled experiences support and enhance the way in which our pe ople work . Think holistically abou t all aspects of technology change , including behaviour al and cultural considerations to be embedded in project planning.

Listen to perspective and concerns, form options, recommendations, and messaging, and be highly accountable in response. Know when and how to challenge with alternatives.

L ead the exploration , testing and implementation of new methods balanced with measured risk mitigation. D emonstrate and encourage resiliency with any results and always maintain team morale . About You  

You’re a fit for the role of Project Manager, Employee Technical Services   if your background includes:   

  • 8 + years of proven experience as a Project or Program Manager of technology initiatives  

  • Proven results d eliver ing projects within the constraints of scope, time , cost , to agreed levels of quali ty and fulfilling all business requirements  

  • Ability to d efine, scope, and manage global projects at or above $ 1 M in value and spanning 12 - 24 months  

  • Pr eferred : experience deploying hardware such as laptops and physical infrastructure in the workplace ( e.g. network , video conferencing /collaboration solutions, and property technology )  

  • Preferred: experience in human-centered service design ; be able to develop and manage UAT/ test and learn workstreams , gather feedback and evolve deployment plans accordingly  

  • Preferred: experience partnering with real estate and facilities management teams on building-based technologies and associated transformation as part of establishing new offices and refitting existing premises  

  • Proven effective project team leade rship, ensuring members are motivated and developing their skills and experience  

  • W ork with multiple teams that may have differing priorities and workin g practices ; strong awareness of local cultural/regulatory norms  

  • Support the operational technology aspects of Merger & Acquisition activities  

  • Effective manage ment of project team conflicts, build ing collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, and obtain ing commitment to make decisions ; promote asynchronous work so that deliverables flow across time zones  

  • Effective prepar ation and maintenance of project plans and track ing of activities according to schedule and budget  

  • Working k nowledge of financial and commercial models which govern technology service contracts and license agreements  

  • Proven s trong c ritical t hinking, w ritten and o ral communication skills
