Business System Analyst
Within the TAP Professional Services department, the Conversion Services team is recognized for its expertise in data management and transformation in the Tax and Accounting industry. Our focus is on delivering high-quality data conversions that facilitate a smooth transition and integration for our clients into our comprehensive suite of Tax and Accounting products.

We are searching for a Business System Analyst passionate about technology and innovation in the Tax & Accounting industry. The ideal candidate will excel at problem-solving, be eager to gain exposure to innovative solutions and methodologies, enjoy working in an Agile development environment, and want to collaborate in a team atmosphere where insights and contributions directly influence product and service development.

About the Role 
As a Business System Analyst , you will: 

  • Play a pivotal role in enabling clients to adapt and thrive by helping them move through their new software journey.
  • Participate in the entire development lifecycle from design, development, and testing of tax and accounting product data conversion applications. 
  • Use in-house development tools to push the boundaries of innovation within the industry. 
  • Collect, analyze, and prioritize requirements from internal subject matter experts. 
  • Define and implement required changes to data conversion software to meet high standards and client needs. 
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a collaborative approach to product development. 
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the Conversion Development Team


About You 
You're a fit for the role of Business Systems Analyst if your background includes:

  • Hands-on experience with development tools such as ADO DevOps and Microsoft Visual Studio. 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including the use of Agile Boards, Work Items, and participation in Agile Ceremonies. 
  • Quick learner with the capacity to become proficient in Thomson Reuters products like UltraTax, GoSystem Tax, Fixed Assets, AdvanceFlow and Accounting CS. 
  • Strong documentation skills, capable of writing detailed work items including acceptance criteria and use cases.
  • Prior experience with tax preparation or other accounting software is considered a valuable addition to your qualifications.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to address challenging issues.
  • Proficiency in conveying complex technology concepts to diverse audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge. 
  • Knowledge of the CPA firm environment, which will be considered an asset to your application. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively. 
  • Independence in your work, with a collaborative spirit for team projects. 
  • Strong project management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently. 
  • A strong desire to learn and the flexibility to adapt to new technologies and environments. 
  • Dedication to client satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support. 
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on experience
