Business Operations Analyst

As Business Operations Analyst, you will be part of the Strategy & Business Operations team.  You will be responsible for supporting the internal operational, reporting/tracking and communication needs of the Data & Analytics team. You will contribute to financial portfolio management, governance, communication and other key operational processes.

You will be part of the Data & Analytics organization, whose strategic goal is to create a world-class Data & Analytics company by building, embedding, and maturing a data-driven culture across Thomson Reuters.

About the Role
In this opportunity as a  Business Operations Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with the D&A Leadership Team (LT) assist in the planning and execution of the end-to-end reporting cycle for the Data & Analytics team, including capturing, tracking, and reporting on OKRs, performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of comprehensive communication strategies for D&A and the LT, including ownership of the monthly D&A communication cycle, collating materials for D&A town hall meetings and broader O&T communication events to ensure alignment and clarity of objectives and delivery. Collaborate with the training team to deliver communications.
  • Partner with D&A leaders and program managers to create and maintain annual delivery roadmaps to that convey a unified view of D&A program delivery, progress and business outcomes.
  • Initiate and drive process improvement projects, leveraging innovative approaches to enhance products, services, and overall operational workflows.
  • Compile and deliver insightful reports to management, providing critical information for both routine and strategic decision-making processes, including delivery, strategy, and other operational data.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organization for the discovery and capture of key strategic metrics.
  • Support and help to drive ad-hoc and strategic initiatives as they arise.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the rest of the Strategy & Business Operations team, supporting projects the team manages. 


About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business operations, preferably within a data, technology or IT environment.
  • Fluent English is a must.
  • Self-motivated and willing to drive work forward with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative, strong team player and contributor, with a track record of excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with an aptitude for clear and effective communication across various levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, metric development, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process inefficiencies and lead change initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau or other visualization tools is desirable but not required.
