Responsibilities

We are looking for the highest levels of technical talent and programming skills, as well as a keen desire to deeply understand our products and services to push our technology forward concerning functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability.

Write, extend and maintain scalable, maintainable, shareable, and intelligible API test automation code using C#
Work with other members of QA, Product, Dev, Data, and Customer Service to define test cases based upon manual test cases, product requirements bugs, etc., and to identify the right approach for that testing (manual tests, API tests, GUI tests, etc)
Estimate time required for manual or automated testing
Review, interpret, and publicize results from automated tests
Diagnose problems with and fix or modify existing automated tests
Perform manual verification, manual smoke, and regression testing, and exploratory testing as required
Document test results, interpret them for stakeholders and assess risk
Prioritize test efforts based on risk and cost-benefit analysis to provide maximum testing value for time available
Be able to assess and explain the purpose and value of individual test cases for stakeholders
Assess and explain testing risk for stakeholders and assist them in decisions regarding release scope and release testing windows
Review application logs and reports to identify bugs within the systems
Support and improve upon the existing quality engineering practices within the software development lifecycle
Find new ways to improve the quality of our software

Skills and Qualifications

2+ years of QA Automation experience in a fast-paced environment
Coding experience to be able to learn C# and related technologies as necessary, to work within and make efficient use of an existing code framework, follow coding conventions, and be able to perform basic research and debugging to solve routine problems in their code
Understanding of software testing and engineering principles
To be proactive and results-driven
The ability to write automated tests (API, GUI, Unit) from scratch
Familiarity with modern CICD practices
Familiarity with cross-browser testing
Familiarity with load and performance testing
Good communication skills, written and oral
Ability to prioritize
Independent judgment
Ability to learn new technologies and products with minimal oversight

SQL, queries, databases

Agile/Scrum/Kanban
