Job Title: CFO / Controller

Overview: US-based Client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic and growing finance team. Strong experience with US operations and US GAAP as well as US federal/state tax filing and compliance is ESSENTIAL . The Controller will oversee the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. As a key member of our team, and reporting to our CFO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of the company's financial results and that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) .

**Candidate MUST have experience with US operations (via global or US-based firm) and solid understanding of GAAP principles and US tax code. This experience is MANDATORY for consideration.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
• Manage the teams responsible for client invoicing, accounts receivable collections, and accounts payable.
• Coordinate all audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with US local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements.

• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Develop and implement training programs to improve skills and capabilities.
• Complete special projects and other assignments as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• CPA/CPC certification required.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a corporate setting.

• Retail or other physical asset-based business experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance issues related to financial management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High degree of oral and written English with proven work experience in English-speaking business environments. C1 level English required.
