About the Role

The Application Integration Technical Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting an enterprise-wide integration platform and data interfaces for the Business Applications ecosystem, including on-premise, custom written, and cloud-based applications. In this role they will be responsible for developing ETL, ESB, MFT, and other integrations according to the technical design of the solution in adherence to development standards and process including unit testing, regression testing, performance testing, code review, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Defines and communicates strategic technology standards to guide decisions and improve efficiency.

• Designs secure, efficient, and adaptable future-state models aligned with strategic goals and budgets.

• Researches emerging technologies and evaluates their impact on IT infrastructure.

• Supports architects and project managers to ensure consistent technology use across the enterprise.

• Leads and mentors engineers on enterprise architecture solutions and vision.

• Develops and enforces enterprise architecture governance, managing justified exceptions.

• Identifies and presents design alternatives based on business requirements.

• Prioritizes requirements using traditional and agile methodologies.

• Creates use case diagrams to clarify solution scope.

• Leads assigned special projects.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with application integrations using custom solutions or middleware like Tibco, Informatica, APIGEE, or cloud tools.

• Skilled in writing and using APIs (batch and real-time) for integrations.

• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and appropriate technologies.

• Solid understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

• Familiar with data security best practices and balancing availability.

• Proficient in various tech stacks (on-prem/cloud), including:

  • Tibco (BW, EMS, Admin, Hawk, etc.)

  • Informatica (Power Center, Developer)

  • APIGEE (REST APIs, security, facades)

  • Cloud tools (Azure Data Factory, Service Bus, Event Hub, GCP Pub/Sub)

  • Integration security (firewalls, encryption, secret management)

  • Cloud databases (BigQuery, CloudSQL)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective relationship-building and collaboration across diverse environments.

• Solid foundation in software development (Java, REST APIs, PL/SQL, XML, Python, Node.js, etc.).

• Familiarity with connectivity solutions (FTP/SFTP, VPN) and file formats (XML, JSON, X12).

• Good understanding of API and network security (OAuth, JWT, federated identity).

• Awareness of software development and project management best practices.

• Knowledge of relational databases.
