Backend Developer

Our ACS Integrations Platform team is at the forefront of developing, architecting, and driving long-term vision for success in Access Control Systems (ACS) management. This includes interfacing with large-scale vendors and working to optimize performance and infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our team, focusing on innovative solutions for ACS scalability, infrastructure, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new backend services to enhance the safety, reliability, and accuracy of our access control systems.
• Evaluate and improve existing methodologies in ACS management.
• Collaborate closely with team members to share ideas and ensure value delivery from concept to implementation.
• Design MVPs with strong technical foundations and iterate on them based on product feedback.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of backend development or software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proven experience with API development and support (REST, JSON/HTTP, GraphQL).
• 5+ years of experience with Typescript or Kotlin in a production environment, including writing, maintaining, and debugging code.
• Experience designing and understanding large-scale systems (over 1 million users).
• Strong understanding of software engineering patterns and anti-patterns.
• Server-side development experience (non-web-based applications).
• Familiarity with Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence.
