SQL Development


  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries , stored procedures, and database objects
  • Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Perform query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis to ensure optimal database performance
  • Support data integration across core insurance systems and analytics platforms


Insurance Data Management (P&C Focus)
  • Work extensively with Property & Casualty insurance data , including:
    • Policy lifecycle data
    • Claims processing and claims history
    • Underwriting and risk assessment data
    • Billing and payments
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and technical documentation aligned with insurance business processes


Reporting & Analytics Enablement
  • Deliver high-quality datasets for:
    • Actuarial analysis
    • Claims analytics
    • Operational and regulatory reporting
  • Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to ensure accurate data transformation and availability
  • Support dashboards and reporting tools used by business stakeholders


Collaboration & Delivery
  • Partner with data engineers, architects, business analysts, and insurance SMEs
  • Support integration with data warehouses, cloud platforms, and reporting systems
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint-based delivery


Required Qualifications Technical Skills
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development
  • Strong expertise in:
    • SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar RDBMS
    • Complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance tuning
    • Stored procedures, views, and triggers
  • Proven experience working with large-scale enterprise datasets


Data Engineering Knowledge
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Experience supporting data warehouses or analytics environments
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and normalization


Insurance Domain Expertise (Mandatory)


  • Strong experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain is required
  • Prior experience working with insurance companies in the United States or Mexico is highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with core insurance data domains:
    • Claims
    • Policy administration
    • Underwriting
    • Billing
  • Understanding of insurance workflows, regulatory requirements, and data structures
