We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong manual and automation testing experience and a solid insurance domain background to join a distributed, agile team working on complex insurance platforms. This role requires hands-on testing across web and API-based systems, with a strong focus on end-to-end system integration and Property & Casualty (P&C) workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements with a strong focus on insurance workflows, including quoting, underwriting, binding, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, billing, and servicing.
- Design, document, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test data for web and API-based applications.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard automation frameworks and tools.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, system, integration, UAT, negative testing, and boundary condition validation.
- Validate end-to-end insurance transactions across multiple states, ensuring compliance with state-specific rules and configurations.
- Execute API testing and validate data exchanges across internal systems and third-party integrations.
- Conduct performance and load testing, identifying bottlenecks and potential risks.
- Log, track, retest, and validate defects using defect-tracking tools, collaborating closely with Development and Product teams through resolution.
- Support testing across multiple environments and releases, including pre-release and post-deployment validation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality and faster feedback loops.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and release readiness activities.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing best practices, and defined SDLC processes.
- 5+ years of experience in manual and automation testing .
- Strong experience in test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management .
- Hands-on experience validating backend data using SQL .
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with negative testing, regression testing, and boundary condition analysis .
- Strong insurance domain experience (mandatory) .
- Solid understanding of end-to-end system integration testing across distributed platforms.
- Property & Casualty (P&C) experience preferred.
- Proven experience testing policy lifecycle workflows , including billing cycles, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium or Playwright , TestNG or JUnit , and JMeter .
- Experience automating web applications and RESTful APIs .
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , integrating automated tests using Jenkins and Git .
- Working knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, networking fundamentals , and application performance best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud APIs , third-party integrations, and automation strategies supporting those integrations.
- Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript .
