Senior Databricks Solutions Architect (Freelance / Brazil) en The Blue People

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Databricks Solutions Architect based in Brazil to join our freelancer talent pool under the Databricks DPP program.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and structuring enterprise-grade data architectures using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Multicloud environments, working directly with international corporate clients.

⁠️ Important: This is a Freelance / Contractor (hourly or part-time project-based) opportunity. Joining the talent pool allows for fast matching with future projects based on your availability and project scope.

Must-Have Requirements

•⁠  ⁠Experience:

•⁠  ⁠7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, and Analytics.

•⁠  ⁠10+ years of consulting experience (client-facing / stakeholder management).

•⁠  ⁠Hands-on delivery of at least 6 to 8 Databricks projects.

•⁠  ⁠Mandatory Certification:

•⁠  ⁠Databricks Data Engineering Professional (strict requirement for screening).

•⁠  ⁠Core Technologies:

•⁠  ⁠Deep expertise in Databricks and Apache Spark (performance optimization, tuning, and Spark runtime internals).

•⁠  ⁠Strong proficiency in Python / PySpark and SQL.

•⁠  ⁠Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.

•⁠  ⁠Cloud Environments:

•⁠  ⁠Hands-on experience across at least *two public clouds* (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with deep expertise in at least one.

•⁠  ⁠Languages:

•⁠  ⁠Advanced / Fluent English (required for technical discussions and client engagement).

•⁠  ⁠Location:

•⁠  ⁠Based in Brazil.

Nice-to-Have

•⁠  ⁠Knowledge of Generative AI capabilities (LLMs, RAG, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or Databricks AI features).

Activities & Responsibilities

•⁠  ⁠Design scalable enterprise data solutions using Databricks and Apache Spark.

•⁠  ⁠Provide hands-on architecture and technical guidance across Databricks implementations.

•⁠  ⁠Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture discussions, and solution design activities with clients.

•⁠  ⁠Advise on Databricks performance optimization, scalability, governance, and platform best practices.

•⁠  ⁠Support CI/CD deployment and MLOps practices within Databricks production environments.
