Senior Data Engineer (AWS, Modern Data Stack) - Remoto en Quo Digital

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure on the AWS platform. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and will have experience with the Modern Data Stack, including tools such as dbt and Airflow. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing scalable and efficient data products, ensuring data quality, and providing technical leadership in the implementation of modern data engineering best practices.

Technical Skills:

 Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Lambda

 Experience with the Modern Data Stack, including dbt(desirable) for data transformation, Airflow (must) for workflow orchestration, and Looker for data visualization

 Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala

 Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts

 Familiarity with data streaming and real-time processing using AWS Kinesis or Kafka

 Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in AWS

 Experience with building and maintaining data products and APIs 

Key Accountabilities:

 Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as S3, Redshift, and Glue

 Leveraging the Modern Data Stack tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Looker to create efficient data transformation workflows and data visualizations

 Building and maintaining data products, APIs, and data services on AWS

 Ensuring data quality and reliability through effective data governance and monitoring practices

 Providing technical leadership and mentorship in modern data engineering best practices

 Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the modern data engineering and AWS space
