Senior Backend Engineer – C#/.NET & Azure en Crossbridge

Remote | Contractor | Advanced English Required

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native services using C#, modern .NET, and Microsoft Azure . You will own backend services throughout their complete lifecycle and develop secure integrations that support loyalty, payments, marketing, customer engagement, and AI-driven capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop secure, reliable REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Build and operate scalable cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Own services across design, development, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Apply architectural patterns such as CQRS, Mediator, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Design and optimize data models, pipelines, and storage solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, observability, and reliability.
• Diagnose complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in C# and modern .NET development.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on Azure.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with CQRS, Mediator, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Strong production troubleshooting, performance optimization, and observability skills.
• Advanced English and excellent cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, or serverless architectures.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, LLMs, or agent-based systems.
• Knowledge of React or another modern frontend framework.
• Experience in loyalty, rewards, payments, advertising, marketing technology, or customer engagement.
• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience working in startup environments and across multiple time zones.
