General Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) who will be involved in extensive customer interaction and service. The ideal candidate is an experienced analyst with a deep knowledge of payments industry standards and best practices, along with a good understanding of customer-specific business and customer-facing skills. The BA will assume an active role in software delivery and implementation processes until deployment to the customer. This includes requirements analysis, design, configuration, software certification, etc.


Requirements:

• 5 years of experience writing business requirements and functional specifications in the Transaction Banking / Banking industry .

• Demonstrated success in implementing projects in a cross-functional team environment .

• Knowledge of ISO20022 standards .

• Familiarity with tools such as Global Payments Plus (GPP) and Finastra Software .

• Experience with FedWires, Swift, Nacha, or TCH .


Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Business analyst certification is a plus.

Clearing certification is a plus.


Responsibilities:

• Writing detailed business requirements (user stories) and functional solutions.

• Customer requirements analysis and effort estimations, participation in client workshops.

• Knowledge transfer to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Business support to delivery teams throughout the entire software implementation process and after.

• Focal point for customers and internal teams/services.

• Provide accurate and consistent statuses and reporting on different levels.

• Deep knowledge of GPP products line .

• Deep knowledge of Finastra software delivery and implementation procedures and relevant methodologies.

• Involvement in projects throughout the development and implementation lifecycle to ensure the actual implementation meets the requirements.

• Writing internal ‘How-to’ guides, training materials, and end-user documentation.


Functional Knowledge/ Business Expertise:

• Has in-depth payments industry knowledge and expertise working with FedWires, Swift, Nacha, and TCH Payments .

• Understands regulatory changes and supports clients in preparation and implementation of such changes.

• Understands how their own area integrates with others to deliver results.

• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and structures key trade-off decisions.


Leadership:

• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

• Impacts a range of business, operational, project, or technical activities within their own and related teams through accountability for end-to-end processes, products, or programs.

• Works within broad guidelines and policies.


Interpersonal Skills:

• Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.

• May have direct client or key stakeholder interaction, navigates key issues, and negotiates milestones.

• May provide process and subject matter advice at more senior levels.
