Job Summary

The project involves testing and ensuring the quality of complex API, web, and data loader applications integrated with database back-end systems. It includes designing and maintaining automated test suites, performance testing for web services architecture (including ESB and BPM), and collaborating closely with engineering teams in an agile environment to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.


Responsibilities
  • Test complex API, web, and data loader applications that reference database back-end systems.

  • Create and maintain automated test cases, execute test suites, review and diagnose reported bugs, and ensure overall system quality before a customer release.

  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated suites of tests through continuous integration for value-added feedback.

  • Works with the engineering teams to derive testing requirements throughout the development cycle.

  • Reproduces, debugs, and isolates problems and verifies fixes.

  • Work closely with software developers to create software artifacts including test plans, test cases, procedures, and reports.

  • Work in cross-functional areas with internal partner engineering teams in a disciplined agile environment.

  • Estimate own testing tasks and work productively with minimum supervision while showing an excellent team attitude.

  • Represent team leadership and provide technical guidance and training to junior test personnel.

  • Participate in the performance testing and analysis framework for a web services architecture containing ESB, BPM, and associated back-end applications.


Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • Strong experience in test automation and frameworks such as Java.

  • 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on quality.

  • Proven ability to review, refactor, and optimize code for better performance and maintainability.

  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, including SOLID, Polymorphism, and Design Patterns.

  • Deep knowledge of system architecture with the ability to explain how the stack works end-to-end.

  • Experience creating and maintaining unit tests to ensure code reliability.
