Senior Power BI Developer - Education - Remoto en Truelogic Software

Power BI Developer to lead the conversion of hundreds of reports from WebFOCUS to Power BI. The ideal candidate will have experience working with higher education data models and Ellucian Banner data, as well as a strong background in data modeling, transformation, and visualization.

This role involves building and maintaining scalable data models, efficient data pipelines, and dynamic reports within Azure and Power BI. Candidates with student information system (SIS) experience and expertise in higher education reporting will be highly preferred. The Power BI Developer will ensure data accuracy, usability, and performance to support data-driven decision-making across the university.

• Serve as the technical SME for data transformation logic, Power BI, and Azure analytics environments.

• Utilize Agile project management methodologies to manage iterative development, testing, and deployment cycles.

• Design and deploy end-to-end BI solutions from requirements gathering to production deployment.

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand and translate reporting needs into actionable data solutions.

• Project Management & Collaboration

• Log work progress and track project tasks using ServiceNow Visual Task Board, Team Dynamix, or similar tools.

• Collaborate with institutional stakeholders to understand business needs, compliance requirements, and data governance best practices.

• Document technical processes, data models, and reporting solutions for ease of maintenance and knowledge sharing.

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, data modeling, and visualization.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX, Power Query (M language), and ETL tools.

• Experience working with Ellucian Banner data or other higher education SIS systems.

• Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or other cloud-based data platforms.

• Ability to optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.

• Strong understanding of higher education data structures, including student enrollment, finance, HR, and academic records.

• Experience with agile methodologies and project tracking tools such as ServiceNow or Team Dynamix
