As a Sr ML Engineer , you’ll play a key role in architecting, developing, and optimizing the university’s next-generation GenAI applications . You will:

Architect, build, and enhance AI-powered chatbot systems and underlying infrastructure
Automate machine learning pipelines , optimize models (LoRA/QLoRA), and monitor performance & costs
Develop reusable frameworks for model building, deployment, and monitoring
Ensure AI applications meet compliance and security standards with built-in guardrails & approval chains
Collaborate with data scientists & analysts to deploy new features across web and mobile platforms
Mentor team members and champion best practices in AI-driven software engineering
Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues , ensuring reliability at scale

7+ years of relevant experience in software development & AI-driven applications
Strong Python & SQL expertise (5+ years)
AWS cloud experience (3+ years), including deploying NLP & deep learning models
Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or MXNet for optimizing GPU-based models
Deep understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) , including GraphRAG or Contextual Retrieval
Experience building AI-powered chatbots and advanced workflows (Langchain, dynamic prompting, model chaining)
Familiarity with embedding models & vector databases for optimizing semantic search and retrieval
Solid knowledge of Transformers, Self-Attention mechanisms, and LLM fundamentals
Proficiency in data pipeline & workflow management with tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
Strong background in software engineering best practices —unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, design documentation
