Responsibilities

Maintain existing React systems, including fixing bugs.
Design and develop new custom components to meet project requirements.
Install and configure server environments for React deployments.
Maintain and update project dependencies as well as fix any conflicts.
Work with other JavaScript developers and software engineers to develop and maintain front-end and back-end architecture that’s well structured and flexible, along with the APIs to support it.
Implement new functionality that will drive best-in-class customer experience
Create and maintain unit tests and automated test cases that can quickly verify correct functionality of the system
Perform manual testing where automated testing is not possible or not yet currently available
Maintain content in a content management system

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, engineering, or a related technical field.
4+ years experience developing single page applications with React (including production experience).
State management patterns & functional components with hooks
Functional/Unit testing
Proficient with the latest versions of ECMAScript (JavaScript), HTML and CSS
Knowledge of common tools used in the wider React ecosystem, such as Node.js and npm
Familiarity with common programming tools such as Redux, IDEs, RESTful APIs, Git repositories, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools.
Experience with performance enhancement strategies such as parallel or on-demand component loading with code splitting.
Familiarity with Open Graph tags, SEO, page redirects, and accessibility considerations.
Familiarity with React testing tools, preferably Jest and Enzyme.
Ability to analyze front-end and suggest improvements for performance and usability
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, being comfortable interacting with clients.
Must have consulting experience i.e., able to work with other clients and not just a head down developer.
Experience with AWS and containerization is a big plus.
